Today, Bungie let loose not only the Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta, but a concrete release date for Halo 3.
Americans will get their mitts on the title on 25 September, while us European types will have to wait an extra gruelling twenty-four hours until 26 September.
Accompanying the release date announcement is an exclusively produced Zune mp3 player (only for Americans, mind). “Encased in collectible packaging, the Zune – Halo 3 Edition digital media player comes pre-loaded with artwork, trailers, and music from all three Halo games, as well as an exclusive new episode of Red vs. Blue. The Zune – Halo 3 Edition (estimated retail price $249) will be available exclusively at GameStop starting 15 June.” As the ‘proper’ Zune model is yet to be released for Europeans, it’s unlikely that we’ll see anything like this.
And with that, you can now happily download the Beta!
